One of Santiago Medina‘s timeless stainless steel sculptures has found a new permanent home, this time in the lobby of the Stanford Lucille Packard Children’s Hospital. The artist’s statement on the piece is as follows:

The name of the sculpture is “DREAMS”. The sculpture is interactive, hence it allows people to look at themselves on the highly polished, mirror-finished Italian Stainless Steel surface and dream about themselves. The sculpture also allows people to interact with and rotate it and look at their distorted faces on different parts of the sculpture.

Master sculptor Santiago Medina’s Tuscany-inspired Italian stainless steel sculptures and art are at marquee public art venues worldwide such as Harvard, Stanford, Tufts, Washington University, Florida International University, the historical Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables, Echo Aventura Luxury Condominium, Miami Country Day School, Miami Children’s Hospital, CES University Contemporary Art Museum, Nutibara Sculpture Park, and Ransom Everglades School, among many others. With Henry Moore, he is one of the few sculptors to have a permanent monumental sculpture at Harvard University. He is the only Colombian artist to have a permanent monumental sculpture at Harvard.
